What is SLEGO

SLEGO is a board puzzle game which demands patience and skills. This is a multiplayer game consisting of many rounds. Each player starts with a blank board and all users get same SLEGO formation in each round. The players compete against each other to secure maximum points to win the pot.

How to play

Here is an image of the game interface. This is the first of total 30 rounds (Deal 1/30).

The big 5X5 board is the blank SLEGO board where you place the SLEGO formations which appear on top right next to the board. You click on any square on the main board to place the formation. The formation may carry one to many SLEGO pieces. One of these pieces is round and is called the "pin". Means the formation will be pinned on the board based on where you click on the board. In next image we see a 4 piece yellow formation with circular piece as the "pin". If we click on 2nd row, 3rd column on the board, our board will look like the image next:

After Playing

When 3 or more same color pieces are adjacent to each other in a row or column (not diagonally), that will be a deal. Each such deal will earn you points.

Rules

  1. Each game has 30 rounds. Each round lasts for 10 seconds. There is a cooldown period of 2 seconds between rounds.
  2. You score when you align 3 or more SLEGO pieces of same color in a row or column. We call it a deal. All pieces in a deal earn you points and will disappear.
  3. Each SLEGO piece present in a deal gives 3 points credit. So if you deal with 4 pieces in a row, you earn 12 points.
  4. If you align more than one rows or columns in any deal, the points in the deal will be multiplied by number of such rows and columns. In the example above we see 1 vertical row with 3 or more yellow pieces, and 2 horizontal rows with 3 or more yellow pieces. Total number of yellow pieces in these rows and columns are 8. Henceforth you will score
Base Credit X No of Pieces X No of Rows and Columns with 3 or more pieces - Penalties
      3 X 8 X (1 + 2) = 72 MINUS any penalties as described next.
  5. You are free to skip any round without any penalty.
  6. If your SLEGO formation goes out of the board, you will lose 1 point for each piece which goes out of the board.
  7. If you overlap an existing piece on board with a new piece, you will lose 2 points for each such overlap. In the example one yellow piece overlapped a brown piece. Thats why we see a score of 72 - 2 = 70 in the example (Tia's score).

Tips

Target for more rows and columns in a deal, rather scoring in each round. Invest in the board in early rounds (be patient), encash later for big deals. Play outside in.
